Phalaenopsis
Phalaenopsis, with its beautiful elegant flowers and extended flowering period, is the premier houseplant globally and has a rich history.
Botanist , Carl Ludwig Blume discovered the Phalaenopsis (literally meaning “ like a moth”) growing on trees and rocks in the tropical rainforests of Indonesia in 1825. After returning to Europe with the exquisite flowers, it quickly accelerated in popularity. Successful breeding programmes and improved growing techniques over the years have resulted in the beautiful range of Phalaenopsis and tapestry of colours available to the consumer today.
